VONORE, Tenn., Nov. 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Genera Energy Inc., an award-winning biomass feedstock supply chain enterprise, has hired Chad Covert to join its growing business development team. "Recent growth in the market has resulted in an increased demand for biomass supply chain services," said Sam Jackson, vice president of business development for Genera Energy. "As Genera continues to grow, we need to continue to add talent to our team, and that's why we're so excited for Chad to join us."
The growth experienced by Genera was accelerated by its success in its recent round of financing in December, 2014. That funding coupled with the growth of the industry, particularly in the biochemical and bioproducts markets, has led to increased opportunities and business for Genera.
Covert earned two bachelor's degrees from the University of Tennessee – one in business administration with a concentration on public administration, and the other in agricultural sciences and natural resources. He went on to earn his Master of Business Administration with a concentration in supply chain management. Just prior to joining Genera, Covert managed US ocean import processing for an international freight forwarder. His knowledge and experience will help Genera continue to meet the needs of existing clients, but also help identify new business opportunities in this rapidly expanding industry.
