PEACHTREE CITY, Ga., June 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Global Aviation Holdings Inc. has re-appointed Gen. Duane H. Cassidy (USAF Ret.) to its board of directors effective June 29, 2010. He previously served on the company's board from April 2006 through March 2008.

"Gen. Cassidy is one of the foremost authorities on the U.S. Transportation Command and Air Mobility Command and we are fortunate to have this distinguished military leader join our Board of Directors," said Rob Binns, Chairman and CEO of Global Aviation.
Gen. Cassidy attained the rank of four stars in 1985 and served as Commander in Chief of the Military Airlift Command and the U.S. Transportation Command before retiring in 1989. He then joined CSX Corporation and served in senior management positions as President of CSX/Sealand Logistics, Senior Vice President for Sales and Marketing of CSX Transportation and as the Corporate Senior Vice President and Chairman of the Commercial Board.
Since his retirement from CSX in 2000, he has served on several boards and has consulted principally in the field of transportation. Gen. Cassidy holds a bachelor's degree in geography from University of Nebraska and a master's degree from Troy State University. He has attended management schools at The Kellogg School of Northwestern University and at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
Gen. Cassidy currently serves as Past Chairman of the Airlift/Tanker Association and is on the board of the Special Operations Warrior Foundation. He served as a Commissioner on a Base Realignment and Closure Commission and co-chaired a similar commission for the Governor of the State of Florida.
