Gemalto Entrusts Its Global Network of Workstations to T-Systems

ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich., January 21, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- T-Systems recently signed the deal with Gemalto to manage 9,000 workstations in 40 countries across three geographic regions (EMEA, Americas and Asia). This five-year contract tasks T-Systems with managing and maintaining multiple services for the leader in numeric security, including
- Centralized Services for LAN and server management
- International Service Desk with 24/7 availability in eight different languages
- Field Services in all Gemalto countries
- Global Services including Master management and software update distribution
- France-based international Governance
Project execution began in summer 2010 and preparations began as early as July, 2009. The scope of the contract was initially limited to the three regions. Subsequently, T-Systems offered the customer a worldwide response solution. The company answered the Request For Proposal while competing against other important IT providers - with a worldwide response solution that the company had developed in-house in France.
"The issue is to provide high level and homogeneous support - wherever the user is based - through processes and tools unification with centralized governance. T-Systems provided the exact level of professionalism to answer our needs," adds Philippe Faure, Gemalto Chief Information Officer.
