GDUSA's 2013 American Package Design Awards - AR Metallizing and Ommegang Brewery Hit a Homerun

Ommegang Brewery wanted a better shelf appeal so they updated their brand identity for their entire line of beers.  The goal was to create a cohesive look that would have brand recognition while sending the message of the superior quality of Belgium style ales.  The end result was an elegant traditional old world look on craft beers.  This look made a new brand identity for enhanced shelf recognition with a coherent "family" of beers.

To achieve this award-winning look, Ommegang Brewery enlisted the help of Duffy & Partners for the redesign, Flower City Printing for their printing needs of the labels and AR Metallizing for the metallized paper.  Duffy & Partners hit it out of the park when they came up with the new logo and label design that not only gave the line of beer a unified branded look Ommegang was looking for but it also evoked the look of quality the Belgium style ales are known for.  Flower City Printing helped seal the deal when they decided to use AR Metallizing metallized paper to achieve the luminous effect that Ommegang Brewery and Duffy & Partners wanted for the new labels.  The end result, a shimmery elegant line of beer labels that gives a unified branded look that showcases the old world look of craft beers.
