GDS International Confirms Stellar Delegation for its Eighth Next Generation Telecoms Africa Summit in April
CAPE TOWN, South Africa, February 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --
Sixty-five of South Africa's leading telecoms executives will convene south of Cape Town in April for two and a half days of focused workshops, peer led panel discussions and working lunches at GDS International's eighth NG Telecoms Africa Summit.
This popular event will take place 23rd - 25th April 2013 at the five-star Arabella Western Cape Hotel & Spa. Having previously run three successful NG Telecoms summits in Africa, this year's event also promises to be extremely valuable with attendees discussing LTE backhaul, consistency and predictable growth for your VAS business, OSS and BSS. Delegates will also be looking at broader issues, including customer retention and alternative power management strategies.
Frank Heitmuller, Business Platform Architecture & Strategy, Microsoft, was an attendee at the event last year. He said: "So often, you spend a lot of money on conferences and events, and don't get the opportunity to talk to people - it's merely a branding awareness exercise. GDS International's summit was different. It has really given us the opportunity to interact with individuals, and I think that's been fantastic for us."
Attending NG Telecoms Africa this year will be: Michel Elame, CEO for Warid Republic of Congo; Godfrey Kisekka, CTO for Orange Uganda; Vincent Camadro, Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer for Orange Telecom Kenya; Arlindo Mondlane, CTO for Mcel; and Saiful Alam, Group CCO for Expresso Telecom.
Mia Shepherd, NG Telecoms Africa Summit Director for GDS International, the global events company behind the event, says: "The Next Generation Telecoms Africa summit is well positioned to surpass all other events across the sub-Saharan African region in 2013. The topics and issues on this year's programme will be used to strategize and benchmark industry purchasing programmes across this developing marketplace based on the seniority and influential avenues of the professionals attending - and the themes and challenges that will be addressed by these industry pioneers. As Summit Director I look forward to being part of such an industry-driven meeting of minds, and am confident this platform will prove to be our best NGT Africa summit to date."
