GDS International Confirms a Prestigious Delegation for its Seventh Annual Next Generation Retail Europe Summit in April
MADRID, March 6, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --
Sixty-five of Europe's most senior retail executives will head to Madrid in April for two and a half days of focused workshops, peer led panel discussions and working lunches as they attend GDS International's upcoming seventh NG Retail Europe summit.
This popular event will take place on the 22nd - 24th of April 2013 at the five-star Sheraton Mirasierra Hotel & Spa in Madrid. Having previously run six successful NG Retail summits in Europe, this year's event promises to really set the mark, with attendees discussing omni-channel retailing, store innovation and online stores; amongst broader issues, such as big data and master data management, multi-channel supply chain and mobility, to name but a few.
Ludovic Salen, Operations Director for Nike, was an attendee at the event last year. He was particularly impressed by the networking opportunities and structure of the overall event, summarising: "The NG Retail summit was extremely beneficial. The organisation was outstanding, and I think that is what makes the NG Retail summit particularly great to attend."
GDS International's summits are all invitation-only events to ensure the quality and integrity of the delegation. This year will be no different, with Andy Crow, VP IT EMEA for Office Depot; Federico Barbieri, SVP eBusiness for PPR; Alan French, Head of IT Strategy & Architecture for Marks and Spencer; JJ Van Oosten, CIO for Travis Perkins; and Chris Butcher, VP IT for Polo Ralph Lauren, all scheduled for attendance.
Max Ford, Next Generation Retail Europe Summit Director for GDS International, the global events company behind the Summit, says: "With just under two months to go until Europe's leading retail event, we are delighted to welcome some of the industry's top movers and shakers to come together in Madrid to share their thoughts and ideas on the future trends and challenges that the industry is facing. This intimate gathering of just 65 C-level executives ensures a bespoke itinerary where the content is determined and shaped by the delegation. The NG20 advisory board has helped build an agenda that will undoubtedly be the event's most exciting meeting yet. Madrid, notably one of Europe's most influential capital cities, is a great location to host such a prestigious gathering for our sponsors and delegates to discuss the future of retail."
