GDS International Announces an Unprecedented Delegation of Senior Executives for the Upcoming FST US Summit in March
DENVER, March 13, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --
GDS International is due to host its highly anticipated Financial Services Technology US summit on 30th April - 2nd May 2013 at the prestigious Omni Interlocken Resort, Denver, Colorado.
The two and a half day event gives 65 handpicked C-level delegates the opportunity to discuss and analyze the real-life challenges affecting their organization in 2013. Featuring a content-rich program that has been put together by the FST 20 - a senior panel of industry experts - the upcoming FST US event is well positioned to have a real impact on the future of financial technology in North America.
Over the course of the summit, delegates will be discussing a range of practical, real-life organizational problems, including: structured / unstructured data, data center consolidation and optimization, and streamlining and automating business processes. Delegates will also be looking at broader issues, such as enterprise mobility / BYOD and enterprise architecture. The event will also offer the opportunity for delegates to participate in a series of more intimate one-on-one meetings, to ensure maximum networking opportunities.
Rakesh Nigam, Managing Director for Barclays Capital, was an attendee at the event last year. He said: "I think it's phenomenal. I really enjoyed it. The summit's been informative and useful, and I've made a lot of great contacts." He continued: "Sometimes, going to other events, people are a little more guarded or closed, whereas with the FST event, people are very open and relaxed: the conversation just flows."
This year's delegation of FST US thought leaders include: Brian Clark, CTO for Moody's; Guy Pujol, Managing Director & Chief Architect Corporate Technology & CTO Application Shared Services for JP Morgan Chase; Julie St. John, President IT & CIO for Capital Group of Companies; Bridget Pantaleo, MD & COO Wealth Management Americas IT for UBS; and Joyce Ulrich, MD & CIO Global Asset Management for Legg Mason, to name but a few of those scheduled for attendance.
Nick Atrey, FST US Summit Director for GDS International, the global events company behind the Summit said: "The financial services industry is going through a period of unprecedented change, with regulations such as the Dodd-Frank Act and Basel III posing new challenges for CIOs and their IT organizations. Coupled with volatile financial markets and shrinking budgets, there has never been more of a need for senior decision makers to engage with each other, discuss and debate common pain points and identify innovative ways to deal with business problems."
He continues: "This is a big part of the reason why the FST summit continues to grow in membership each passing year. The attendees and agenda are coming together very well, and with the help of our analyst partners IDC, we are confident the upcoming summit will deliver real value to financial services executives in the region."
