GDS Architectural Signage Solutions Teams Up With Amazon

MANCHESTER, N.H., Nov. 8, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- GDS Architectural Signage Solutions, a company focused on providing turnkey solutions in the signage industry, announced that they will now offer their products on Amazon. Launching a new ecommerce division known as GDS Retail, buyers across the United States will have the ability to purchase code compliant signage for their businesses directly through Amazon.

Understanding the dominance of Amazon as an online retail giant, GDS President and Founder, Joe Motta, had a moment of clarity when he thought, "Why wouldn't buyers want the same level of convenience when buying code compliant signs?" That's when he challenged his team, led by his Manager of Business Development, Chelsea Chevrette, to research what code compliant signage was currently available online.

Noticing a major deficit in the availability of code compliant signage online, GDS formed an internal marketing team, in the winter of 2017, to research the supply and demand of the most common interior signs. Considering the ADA and NFPA signage laws currently in effect, GDS focused their attention on the needs of small businesses, property managers, general contractors and architects. In order for a space to pass inspection and operate smoothly for employees and visitors, GDS developed a line of signs that are both economically priced and code compliant.

During the research phase, our designers worked to establish a range of colors, finishes and sizes that would suit the needs of each buyer. Vice President of Operations, Chris Glanzman, observed, "Amazon customers faced a limited selection when seeking a design that would complement their business or facility. We focused on developing a series of ADA compliant signs, in a multitude of style options, fit for any environment." From there, our estimators and production team worked together to select durable and resilient materials that would also prove cost effective. Encompassing each of these factors, the G100 Series line of standard code compliant signage was developed.

In September of 2017, the GDS Retail team executed a soft launch of their ecommerce venture and was met with an immediate and successful response. During this time the team worked to address and eliminate any possible issues in website functionality, order processes, and shipping times. The implementation of the G100 Series line proved effective as orders from across the United States were seamlessly received and delivered.

GDS Retail will be available to all buyers on November 8, 2017 through www.amazon.com. New additions to the G100 Series will be rolled out in phases through early 2018 and additional signage series are planned for the future.
