COLUMBUS, Ohio, June 25, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- GDF SUEZ Energy Resources NA, one of the country's largest competitive retail electricity providers to commercial, industrial and institutional customers, will host a national webinar on June 27 titled The State of Electricity: Ohio.

The complimentary, one-hour event, which will begin at 11 a.m. CDT, will cover a number of topics affecting two competitive retail electricity markets in the Buckeye State – the AEP Ohio and Duke Energy service territories. Content will include detailed cost components of energy plans, market structures as well as conditions and capacity issues in PJM-Ohio.
GDF SUEZ Energy Resources began pricing transactions for consumers in the AEP Ohio and Duke Energy service territories earlier this year. The retail electricity provider also opened a sales office in Columbus with a dedicated sales team that specifically focuses on these regions of the Buckeye State.
"The more commercial and industrial consumers know about the particular issues driving the regional electricity market, the better equipped they'll be to make smarter – more economical – decisions when it comes to building an effective energy management strategy," said David Braun, Regional Vice President of Sales of the Midwest for GDF SUEZ Energy Resources.
"That's particularly true in the AEP Ohio and Duke Energy service territories, where a number of capacity issues may have a significant impact on pricing. This webinar will help buyers understand the specific conditions influencing the market and will provide them with tailored products and energy procurement strategies to consider for balancing risk – and protecting budgets."
Braun, who has more than two decades of experience in the energy and utility industries, will lead the webinar with Brooke Ramsey, Regional Sales Director of Ohio for GDF SUEZ Energy Resources, and Ken MacMahon, Portfolio Manager of PJM for GDF SUEZ Energy Resources.
Commercial, industrial and institutional electricity buyers interested in participating can register for the webinar at http://www.gdfsuezenergyresources.com/OHWebinar.
