HOUSTON, May 10, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- GDF SUEZ Energy Resources NA today announced that Kelly Tomblin, who has more than 20 years of experience in the energy and utility sector, has been named Regional Vice President, PJM, Mid-Atlantic.

Tomblin will oversee the management of customer relationships in five markets that are part of the PJM Interconnection: Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, Delaware and Washington, D.C.
Tomblin has held numerous leadership positions in the generation, transmission and distribution sector during her career, including responsibilities in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Since 2006, she served as Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Services in North America for International Power, which recently combined with the international businesses of GDF SUEZ to create a global leader in independent power generation.

At International Power, Tomblin was responsible for renewable energy policy; state and federal regulatory policy and government relations; regulatory compliance; internal and external communications; human resources; and procurement functions. She has also worked at GPU Inc. as regional president, managing transmission and distribution for the northern New Jersey region of Jersey Power & Light and for the Penelec region in Pennsylvania. Her other role at GPU included director of customer service.
Tomblin earned her undergraduate and law degrees from West Virginia University and a Master of Business Administration from New York University.
