GCC Economic Stability Result of Member States' Unity, Bahraini Government Says

MANAMA, Bahrain, Aug. 18, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Bahraini government yesterday welcomed a delegation of Kuwaiti businessmen and reaffirmed the GCC's economic strength and stability.

The GCC's strength lies in its unity, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa said, speaking to the delegation. "It also lies in reliance on GCC people, keenness to improve their capabilities, efforts to consolidate international relations and meet the needs of the young," he said.

His Royal Highness, Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa also emphasized that strong GCC economic cooperation has led to continuous investment growth among the countries. He further welcomed all GCC investments in Bahrain and pledged to help facilitate their success.

The Prime Minister and Crown Prince also praised the long-standing relationship between Bahrain and Kuwait.

"The steady growth of bilateral cooperation is the outcome of the advanced level of the eternal Bahraini-Kuwaiti relations, anchored by the forefathers and strengthened by the successive generations," His Royal Highness the Prime Minister said.
