Teen Empowerment Movie Aligns with Georgia's Leading Organization supporting adolescent development
ATLANTA, Nov. 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- In a joint announcement today, Atlanta based independent film producer, Brothers Young Productions (BroYoPro) and The Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Power & Potential (GCAPP) announced a strategic partnership surrounding the upcoming independent film "Untapped".
"GCAPP is a leader in support of young people achieving their full potential," said Mac Maguire, President & Executive Producer of BroYoPro. "GCAPP's focus surrounding physical activity, developing healthy relationships and teen pregnancy prevention has been an effective catalyst of overall adolescent health and wellness in Georgia for almost 20 years."
"Untapped is an independent film which promotes a wonderful theme of teen empowerment," said Kim Nolte, President and CEO of GCAPP. "We believe children are entitled to an adolescence characterized by hope, healing and self-empowerment. We are delighted to have this opportunity to align ourselves with the creative talents of BroYoPro and we believe that the inspiring story in Untapped will very much resonate with the thousands of Georgia teens and their families which we support with our programs."
A portion of Untapped's gross revenues will be contributed to GCAPP. Untapped is scheduled for release in Fall of 2015.
"As an independent film producer we were seeking an organization with a mission and vision aligned with the story of teen empowerment portrayed in Untapped, " said Matthew Young, Co-Founder of BroYoPro and director of Untapped. "In GCAPP we have found the ideal partner and we are proud to be in a position to help support the wonderful work GCAPP performs throughout the State of Georgia on a daily basis."
"Georgia has become one of the most active film producing states in the country," said Nolte. "It is exciting to see the world of independent filmmaking evolve in such a way that inspiring stories like Untapped can get produced, distributed, and then marketed through social media and other avenues."
"Untapped is a story that we believe will not only be well received commercially but will be appreciated by those who are truly passionate about adolescents overcoming adversity and reaching their full potential," said Maguire. "We are indeed fortunate to have found an organization like GCAPP in our very own back yard and we look forward to what we might accomplish together."
