GB&W's Christine Spagnoli honored as a "Top Woman Lawyer" for 12th year
SANTA MONICA, Calif., May 13, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Los Angeles Daily Journal announced today it has selected prominent plaintiff attorney Christine Spagnoli as one of the Top Women Lawyers of 2015. This is the 12th year in a row Ms. Spagnoli, a partner at the Santa Monica law firm, Greene Broillet & Wheeler, LLP has made the prestigious list.
The Daily Journal will publish a special supplement honoring the 100 leading women attorneys who have demonstrated exemplary trial advocacy skills and shown leadership in the legal community.
As one of the state's most elite trial lawyers, Ms. Spagnoli has worked tirelessly for consumer safety by successfully litigating automotive design and tire defect cases against the nation's leading car manufacturers. She was co-counsel in one of the largest personal injury verdicts in California, a historic $58 million verdict for a man severely burned by a defective O-ring.
Ms. Spagnoli is lead counsel on several current high-profile lawsuits, including a wrongful death suit on behalf of the family of 24-year-old Christopher Saraceno who fell out of the door on a party bus on the 101 Freeway.
She also represents several families of victims either killed or injured after a horrific bus explosion in Northern California. A group of students, including 18-year-old Miles Hill, was riding in a tour bus on a trip to visit Humboldt State University when the bus burst into flames after a collision with a FedEx truck. The FedEx driver careened his rig across the median and smashed into the bus killing 10 people-- including five students-- and injuring dozens. Ms. Spagnoli is co-lead counsel for the Coordinated Proceeding that has been established to manage the resulting lawsuits.
Ms. Spagnoli is a past president of the Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC) and Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA). She is a member of the prestigious American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) and an appointee to the Civil Jury Instructions Committee (CACI).
In November of 2014, Christine Spagnoli received the Consumer Attorneys of California's prestigious Robert E. Cartwright, Sr. Award given "in recognition of excellence in trial advocacy and dedication to teaching trial advocacy to fellow lawyers and to the public."
Greene Broillet & Wheeler, LLP is a plaintiffs firm dedicated to fighting for the rights of injured consumers across California to improve public safety and demand accountability.
