ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 9, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) – the voice of the global business travel industry – announced that registration is now open for GBTA Convention 2016, which will be held in Denver, July 16-20. GBTA's annual convention is the largest, most comprehensive annual gathering of business travel and meetings managers, meeting planners, procurement professionals and suppliers in the world. This year's Convention theme is Balance.
"As technology continues to drive business traveler preferences and behavior, achieving and maintaining balance is more crucial than ever before, especially as the role of the travel buyer continues to evolve," said Michael W. McCormick, GBTA executive director and COO. "GBTA Convention 2016 will bring together the most dynamic individuals in business travel for the ultimate networking and education experience."
The 2016 Convention theme, Balance, aptly describes today's business travel environment where buyers must balance many priorities from duty of care and risk management to managing cost and compliance. Finding balance is particularly a challenge at a moment when the industry is undergoing significant changes due to changing demographics, technologies and travel platforms. At Convention, nearly 7,000 industry professionals will seek to find the right balance to understanding and leveraging the competing interests between their business travelers and their organization.
Held at the Colorado Convention Center, GBTA Convention 2016 will bring attendees world-class keynote speakers, more than 80 industry-leading education sessions, the largest business travel expo floor, a wide selection of professional development opportunities and much more, providing attendees the opportunity for professional development and to get business done.
Attendee registration is open now. Register before February 9, 2016, to receive early bird rates. More info on programs and speakers will be unveiled throughout 2016. For the latest developments and more information, please visit gbta.org/convention.
