Gayle Alberda, Ph.D. is recognized by Continental Who's Who
BRIDGEPORT, Conn., March 10, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Continental Who's Who recognizes Gayle Alberda, Ph.D., as a Pinnacle Lifetime Member in the Higher Education field.
Dr. Alberda serves as Assistant Professor in the Politics Department at Fairfield University. With ten years of experience in the field, her expertise lies in American government, campaigns and elections, state and local governments and women in politics – all courses she teaches.
Aside from her teaching career, Dr. Alberda serves as a political analyst in various forms of media, and has appeared in the Washington Post, Al Jazeera America, Bloomberg, Voice of America, the Des Moines Register and on Associated Press Radio. Additionally, she has worked as a lobbyist and a campaign strategist.
Dr. Alberda earned her both Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and her Master of Public Administration degree from Central Michigan University. She went on to complete her Doctorate degree in Political Science from Wayne State University.
To further her professional development, Dr. Alberda is a member of the ASPA, MPSA, SPSA and the National Association of Professional Women. She has also earned a number of honors and awards as a testament to her hard work, including: the Horowitz Foundation's Robert K. Merton Award, the Warren E. Miller Scholarship Award given by the Inter-University Consortium for Political and Social Research, and Drake University's Scholarship of Teaching and Learning Research Award 2015.
Dr. Alberda cites Brady Baybeck and Dr. Ronald Brown of Wayne State University as her mentors. She dedicates this recognition to her son, Isaac Ajilore.
