Gaun First Catch Center Announces Fall Event Schedule
HARRISBURG, Pa., Aug. 22, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission's (PFBC) Gaun First Catch Center (GFCC) has scheduled 25 opportunities this fall for individuals in southeastern Pennsylvania to learn how to fish or improve their fishing skills. These events will take place between August 25 and November 2, at 20 different locations in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia Counties.
The first fall event is a Family Fishing Program on Saturday, August 25, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Falls Township Community Park, Bucks County. This program is designed for families with little to no fishing experience. There are several Family Fishing Programs on the fall schedule. Pre-registration is required for this event.
Also on the fall schedule are Fishing Meet-up Events, which are informal social gatherings for anyone interested in learning more about the basics of fishing. This informal event is the perfect opportunity to socialize, learn, and share fishing experiences with other anglers. Each Fishing Meet-up Event will focus on specific types of fishing equipment targeting particular species. Equipment and bait is provided; participants may also bring their own tackle.
