Gaumard to Show New Touch-Screen Wireless Simulation Interface at AHA Scientific Sessions
OMNI 2 Facilitates Advanced Simulation Functionality
MIAMI, Nov. 11, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Gaumard® Scientific Company will demonstrate how it is transforming CPR training with value-priced simulators and skills trainers into an intuitive tap-and-go experience when the new OMNI® 2 touch-screen wireless interface is demonstrated at the American Heart Association's Scientific Sessions, November 13-15 in booth 2045 at the New Orleans Morial Convention Center.
When used in conjunction with Gaumard simulators, OMNI 2 facilitates active simulation and provides full control over simulator physiology and response.
OMNI 2 drives value-priced simulators and skills trainers to deliver functionality long associated with high-fidelity simulators. For those with a limited budget and resources, OMNI 2 is an affordable, easy-to-use solution.
OMNI 2 facilitates CPR training by providing instructors with real-time feedback of compression and ventilation performance, along with data-rich session reports to support debriefing. When integrated into an instructor-led course, OMNI 2-capable simulators can help participants develop resuscitation technique and clinical knowledge.
Additionally, OMNI 2 introduces virtual patient monitor support, allowing real-time monitoring of HR, ECG, RR, BP, O2SAT and EtCO2 to increase scenario realism and exercise participants' critical thinking skills.
"OMNI 2 is so easy and intuitive that CPR instructors can manage any simulation in any location," John Eggert, Gaumard's executive vice president, said. "The enhanced functionality of OMNI 2 substantially elevates the fidelity of value-priced simulators."
OMNI 2 is available with over a dozen simulators and skills trainers, including the NOELLE® Childbirth and Neonatal Resuscitation Trainer, PREMIE Blue Simulator, Susie Simon CPR Newborn and SUPER CHLOE™. By year's end the selection of OMNI 2 with eCPR™ training solutions will grow to over 30 models, covering maternity, adult, pediatric, neonates, and premature simulated patients.
Gaumard also will demonstrate its family of high-fidelity tetherless simulators, including HAL® S3201 Advanced Tetherless Patient Simulator, Pedi HAL® one- and five-year-old manikins, and Newborn Tory™. These simulators facilitate active mobile simulation during CPR and ECC training scenarios and operate continuously as they are moved through the continuum of care from the field to the ambulance and the emergency department. The simulators are designed for use with real monitoring and resuscitation equipment, are compliant with AHA CPR/ECC guidelines, and feature realistic airway anatomies and chest recoil.
