Gaumard Sets the Pace for EMS World Expo '17
Debuts Care in Motion™ for a Fast-Changing Field
MIAMI, Oct. 18, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Gaumard Scientific today announced the worldwide introduction of Care In Motion,™ its first wireless video-assisted debriefing solution, at the annual EMS World Expo, today through October 20 in booth 753 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Care In Motion is the ideal complement to Gaumard's world-renowned wireless and tetherless patient simulators.
Gaumard provides EMS students and professionals with realistic trauma patient simulators and skills trainers to practice patient assessment and treatment throughout the continuum of care, including point of injury, transport, and emergency room handoff.
"Gaumard's goal is to help first responders stay a step ahead of the rapidly-changing demands of emergency preparedness by providing simulation training tools that can be used anywhere," Gaumard executive vice president John Eggert says. "As EMS face ever-more challenging scenarios, it's reassuring to know that they can sharpen their skills in a safe environment to better manage emergencies later in the real world."
Gaumard's HAL Family
Gaumard's HAL® family line includes a wireless, tetherless Advanced Multipurpose Patient Simulator, HAL S3201, operating continuously from the accident scene to the ER and ICU.
Additional models in the line include the Trauma HAL series, which bleed, have pressure-sensitive wounds and trauma limbs, laryngospasms, spontaneous chest rise and bilateral intravenous training arms for practicing diagnosis and care under fire, emergency field care, extraction, patient transport, mass casualty response, decontamination and more.
Trauma HAL and HAL S3201 both can be controlled at distances of up to 300 meters and between rooms and floors of conventional buildings. The tetherless technology enables the communications, compressor and power supply to be inside HAL, eliminating external tubes, wires, and compressors.
HAL smoothly transitions between physiologic states in response to commands from a wireless PC and has proved durable in independent testing in hot and cold conditions and wet and dry environments.
Care In Motion™ Video-Assisted Debriefing
Care In Motion™ is an innovative video recording and playback platform designed to help educators maximize participant learning through video-assisted debriefing. Care In Motion finally makes recording and playback simple enough for anyone to use, allowing educators to focus on delivering the best debriefing and learning experience possible.
Simply power on Care In Motion and tap the screen to wirelessly record audio and video from multiple sources simultaneously, whether at the point of injury or in transit, without interruption.
Care In Motion allows educators to record exercises and play back sessions for debriefing -- all from one place. The Care In Motion tablet and HD wireless cameras are seamlessly integrated with Gaumard's UNI® operating system to automatically capture and synchronize simulator patient vitals, sensor data and patient interaction with video in real time.
Choose from three Care In Motion packages designed for indoor/in-hospital, outdoor and mobile simulation, including patient hand-offs and transport.
