Gaumard® Scientific Installs Victoria™ Birthing Simulator at Health Care Educational Facilities in Colorado and Michigan
Industry's Most Advanced Patient Simulator Now in Use in All Regions of U.S.
MIAMI, Oct. 23, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Gaumard Scientific Company today announced it has completed installations of the Victoria birthing simulator at Denver School of Nursing in Colorado and Dorsey Schools in Madison Heights, Mich. With the latest installations, Gaumard's newest fully tetherless maternal/fetal simulator, which is recognized by health care educators as the industry's most advanced, is now in use at schools and teaching hospitals in all regions of the U.S. The company kicked off its national launch of Victoria last month.
Victoria is a member of Gaumard's family of NOELLE maternal and neonatal care simulators. Victoria has a patented, precision life-like delivery and birthing mechanism that births a life-like, full-term baby with sophisticated monitoring capabilities. The Victoria system includes comprehensive clinical scenarios, including shoulder dystocia and postpartum hemorrhage. With articulating endoskeletons and silky smooth elastomeric skin, Victoria is the most realistic, fully tetherless and wireless maternal/fetal simulator for use in actual point of care training.
John Eggert, Gaumard's executive vice president, said: "Gaumard has established a national footprint for Victoria very quickly. We are seeing an increase in demand from both current customers who have NOELLE products in place and new customers who are first-time users of Gaumard technology. We designed Victoria to serve as a platform for sales growth and further innovation in the obstetrics and gynecology market segment. We are on track with our plan and look forward to once again showcasing Victoria at the International Meeting for Simulation in Healthcare (IMSH) in January."
