Gas South Named a Top Workplace In Atlanta for Fourth Consecutive Year

ATLANTA, March 7, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Gas South has been recognized as one of the Top Workplaces in Atlanta for the fourth consecutive year. The leading natural gas provider was ranked at #39 among midsize companies on The Atlanta Journal-Constitution's prestigious annual list released Wednesday, February 27.

The annual Top Workplaces rankings are determined via employee survey responses, through a partnership between The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and Energage. More than 4,300 companies nominated or submitted in the awards, 256 metro Atlanta companies were surveyed and more than 55,000 employees participated. The 2019 list is made up of 150 companies – 20 large companies (500 or more employees), 55 midsize companies (150-499 employees) and 75 small companies (149 or fewer employees).

Most recently, Gas South implemented additional career development classes and training opportunities for employees, made internal systems enhancements so it's easier to serve customers, and launched additional internal communication initiatives to maintain a culture of open and honest communication.

The rankings for 2019 Top Workplaces in Atlanta were announced Wednesday, February 27, at an awards ceremony at the Georgia Aquarium.
