Gary Bauer Brings Strategic Senate Campaign to Ohio; Urges support for Josh Mandel
"Barack Obama's Senate has been a graveyard for pro-family policies," noted Bauer. "It is time to bring new life to the Senate. Josh Mandel will fight for Ohio's families."
WASHINGTON, Oct. 18, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Former presidential candidate Gary Bauer announced this week that his Campaign for Working Families political action committee was launching new independent expenditures in key Senate races "holding Democrats accountable for their embrace of President Obama's failed agenda."
"Across the board, the policies pursued by Barack Obama and Sherrod Brown are hurting Ohio's families. Gas prices have doubled in four years. But Obama and Brown oppose building needed pipelines to bring us cheap oil from a friend and ally," Bauer said.
"And when it comes to values issues like abortion, the meaning of marriage and religious liberty, Obama and Brown are clearly out-of-touch with the common sense views of Ohio voters," Bauer added. "Josh Mandel is a decorated Marine who bravely defended our freedoms. He will fight for Ohio's families in the United States Senate."
Bauer, the chairman of the Campaign for Working Families, is rolling out ads as part of a six-figure independent expenditure campaign on Christian, country and news talk radio formats in major Ohio media markets. The ads expose the radical voting record of Democratic Senator Sherrod Brown and urge voters to support State Treasurer and decorated Marine veteran Josh Mandel.
As part of this independent expenditure effort, Bauer is also running ads in Indiana in support of State Treasurer Richard Mourdock and in Missouri on behalf of Rep. Todd Akin.
This campaign is one of many spear-headed by Bauer's operations. Recently, the Guardian called Bauer "one of the leading campaigners in the U.S. on pro-life and pro-traditional family issues." Well-known for creating effective campaigns in key states, he has run ads this cycle exposing Obama's radicalism on marriage and highlighting the shockingly negative reaction of Democratic National Committee delegates to the inclusion of God in their party platform.
