NEW YORK and MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), (BSE: 532540, NSE: TCS), a leading IT services, consulting and business solutions organization, announced today it has been recognized by Gartner, Inc. in the "Leaders" quadrant of the "Magic Quadrant for SAP Application Management Service Providers, Worldwide."1
According to Gartner, providers designated as Leaders, "are performing well today, and gaining traction and mind share in the market. They have a clear vision of the market's direction and are actively building competencies to sustain their leadership position in the market." To prepare this report, Gartner analysts evaluated 16 service providers, including TCS, on their ability to execute and completeness of vision.
In its latest "Critical Capabilities for SAP Application Management Service Providers, Worldwide" report, Gartner, the leading provider of research and analysis on the global information technology industry, has also given TCS the third-highest Product Score in all three Use Cases – Large-Scope and -Scale Deals; Midsize-Scope and -Scale Deals and Small-Scope and -Scale Deals – scoring a 2.98, 2.96 and 3.09 out of 5, respectively.2
The Critical Capabilities research provides an additional and more in-depth view on the vendors, beyond their core strengths, cautions and relative position as included in the Magic Quadrant for SAP Application Management Service Providers, Worldwide. Sixteen vendors were scored against seven critical capabilities that Gartner deems to be the leading factors that sourcing executives need to consider when evaluating vendors, from new technology, integrated business and industrialization, to local support, technology stack, service integration and risk-based pricing.
"To be recognized by Gartner analysts as a Leader in the Magic Quadrant report, and as the third-place provider in large-, midsize- and small-scope and -scale deals in Critical Capabilities, provides independent confirmation of the value we believe we help our customers create through our comprehensive set of application management services across the SAP product line," said Akhilesh Tiwari, Global Head, SAP Practice, TCS. "Through innovative products like the SAP HANA platform and the SAP Fiori® user experience, SAP is offering customers new ways to simplify their organizations and enhance how they manage and interact with information. Simple solutions require sophistication, strategy and smart design—and that's where TCS comes in, helping enterprises design solutions that enable them to get tangible results quickly and efficiently out of their SAP systems."
TCS' Practice for SAP solutions, part of TCS' Enterprise Solutions group, offers best-of-the-breed solutions and services in support of SAP software to its clients around the world. In 2006, TCS became the first SAP global services partner in Asia, and earlier this year TCS received two SAP® Pinnacle Awards: Run SAP Partner of the Year in the "Run Clever" category for service delivery, and the inaugural SAP Customers' Choice Award. TCS has two Centers of Excellence at TCS' Seven Hills Park Delivery Center in Milford, Ohio: a new User Experience Center of Excellence, providing end-to-end consulting and implementation services to customers seeking innovation and ease-of-use in further leveraging SAP® applications, and the TCS Global Center of Excellence (CoE), which was launched in 2011 in support of the SAP HANA® platform.
