Gardner-White Furniture Hiring On the Spot Thursday, October 3, 2013

WHAT:

Job Fair to recruit associates for all the 10 Gardner-White stores throughout metropolitan Detroit. Gardner-White is looking for candidates with entrepreneurial spirit who are seeking successful careers in commissioned sales.

WHO:

Gardner-White Furniture has been a Michigan owned and operated furniture company since 1912. Gardner-White's mission is to offer a value-conscious consumer excellent service and selection at an affordable price. Gardner-White recently redoubled on their commitment to Michigan by investing in a 450,000 square foot distribution center in Auburn Hills Michigan.

In September 2013, celebrity furniture designer, Angelo Surmelis, brought his new line of affordable, fashionable furniture, Angelo: HOME,  to Gardner-White.

Surmelis was a designer on the TLC program Clean Sweep, the Lifetime program Merge, and the Style Network program My Celebrity Home. He then was host and designer on HGTV's 24 Hour Design for four seasons and then three seasons of the HGTV series Rate My Space with Angelo Surmelis..

WHY:

Because of Gardner-White Furniture growth in the metropolitan area, and the Angelo: HOME rollout, Gardner-White expects to increase volume throughout all locations. There is a need for excited sales people who will recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on customer needs and desires.
