Garage teams up with Jason Derulo to Get Louder
MONTREAL, Sept. 8, 2011 /PRNewswire/ - As of September 7th 2011, the Garage brand known for its flirty casual fashion will be launching a video-based contest asking its customers to showcase how they rock their Garage denim for the chance to win a VIP concert by Jason Derulo at their school.
This marks the second edition of the Get Loud series for the Garage brand. Teen girls all across North America will be asked to upload their denim-inspired video creations on getlouder.garage.ca. The site will allow their content to be shared with friends on Facebook, Twitter and other social platforms. The videos submitted will be subject to an online voting process which will begin on September 29th and end October 17th, 2011. The top 5 videos having received the most votes will be screened by a panel of Garage judges and Jason Derulo himself, in order to crown the winning group, on October 21st, 2011.
The "win a VIP concert with Jason Derulo at your school" experience will be promoted on MuchMusic, as well as radio stations and college newspapers in select cities. In-store call-to-actions, social media hype, and other web based initiatives have been developed to further promote the contest.
"This contest is not driven by individuals; it is driven by groups of girls - communities that share a common passion - one which fuses their affinity for fashion, and their love of music. We are connecting with her like never before and once again seek to deliver an experience that her community - her school, and her group of friends will never forget", says Matt Hilgeman, VP Merchandising. The Get Louder contest delivers a sense of community, and promotes creativity. Stay tuned, it's about to Get Louder.
