ST. PAUL, Minn., Jan. 4, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Siddharth Gandhi joined Securian Financial Group as head of the company's strategic business development unit. He will be responsible for leading the corporate merger and acquisitions function and providing strategic development expertise to Securian's business units.

Gandhi has considerable strategy and M&A experience. After stints with Thomson-Reuters and Ameriprise in strategy positions, he joined Wolters Kluwer as a senior director in their financial services division. Gandhi led the analysis and execution of numerous acquisitions and provided business development leadership for new and expanded market opportunities. At Securian, he reports directly to Warren Zaccaro, executive vice president and CFO.
Gandhi, who lives in Blaine, has a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan and a master's degree from the University of Minnesota.
