Gander Mountain Opens Second South Carolina Store in Myrtle Beach

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C., April 13, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Gander Mountain, the nation's largest and fastest-growing outdoor specialty retailer, will open its second South Carolina store in Myrtle Beach at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 16. The grand opening celebration will include celebrity appearances, family-friendly events and giveaways.

The 45,600 square-foot Gander Mountain store in Myrtle Beach is located at 1049 Glenforest Rd., adjacent to the Tanger Outlets on Edward E. Burroughs Highway (U.S. 501 – South) at Factory Stores Blvd. The welcoming exterior and interior layout reflect Gander Mountain's new store design featuring innovative interior elements, displays and fixtures.

Events and appearances will occur Thursday, April 16 through Sunday, April 19.

The grand opening festivities will include:

• Darryl Worley, country music artist, will perform Thursday at 9 a.m. and host a meet and greet with fans from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
• D.J. Swearinger, former South Carolina Star and current NFL safety, will appear Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
• Troy Landry, star of History's hit TV series Swamp People will appear Saturday and Sunday from noon to 3 p.m.
• The first 1,000 customers through the door Thursday through Sunday will receive a free scratch-off card. Every card is a winner; with prizes including gift cards valued up to $100, discounts for up to 50 percent off, shirts, hats and sunglasses.
