GameHouse Strengthens Executive Leadership Team with New Vice President of Operations
Makers of popular Facebook games including Collapse! Blast, Bayou Blast, Slot-O-Rama, and Mystic Ice Blast hire Keela Robison to lead day-to-day operations at GameHouse
SEATTLE, May 29, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- GameHouse, the gaming division of RealNetworks (NASDAQ: RNWK), announced today that Keela Robison will join the company's executive leadership team as Vice President of Operations. Robison brings more than 15 years of Web and mobile product, operations, marketing, and sales experience to GameHouse. She will oversee the mobile and downloadable games businesses, including GameHouse.com. Robison will focus on monetization strategies, business development and operations.
"GameHouse is one of the hottest casual games businesses in the world powered by their team, talent and titles," said Robison. "GameHouse is making significant investments and progress in the white-hot social and mobile games space and I can't wait to help accelerate their progress."
Prior to GameHouse, Robison directed business teams including business development and marketing in Amazon's Digital Products group. She also held senior executive roles at WhitePages.com, T-Mobile and RealNetworks, leading product management, business development, and operations. Robison received her BA and MA from Stanford University.
Robison is the most recent addition to GameHouse, which has already hired nearly 40 employees to work in its Seattle and Victoria, BC offices since January. These new hires, most of which are in senior leadership or development roles, give GameHouse the power to rapidly expand its position in the social and mobile games sector.
Also in the past two months, GameHouse unveiled Slot-O-Rama and Mystic Ice Blast, adding to its growing portfolio of social games, which includes popular match-titles such as Collapse! Blast and Bayou Blast. Its social games portfolio has helped GameHouse solidify its spot as one of the top 20 developers on Facebook, and the company intends to attract even more players with a broader portfolio of fun arcade- and casino-style games. The company has also successfully launched several casual games on the iPhone, iPad, Kindle, and other Android devices in recent months, and it plans to release a mobile version of Collapse! Blast for iOS later this year.
"We're excited to have Keela on our team because she has the brainpower and experience to help us accelerate our growth in the casual games market," said Matt Hulett, President of GameHouse. "Her professional track-record shows a proven ability to maximize business performance and drive new revenue streams."
The company plans to aggressively invest and continues to bring on the right talent to make games that millions of people love to play. To learn more about the job opportunities at GameHouse, please visit: http://www.gamehouse.com/careers/.
