NEW YORK, Nov. 6, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Galvanize, the learning community for technology that offers education skilling programs in key technical disciplines, as well as entrepreneur-focused workspaces, today announced the launch of a nights and weekends version of its full-time Data Science Immersive program. "Providing quality in-person education to students regardless of their work and life schedule is another step in enabling the digital workforce of tomorrow. At Galvanize, we know the value of learning from world-class faculty alongside a diverse group of high-achieving students...and now we will offer that opportunity, day and night, with our Data Science Immersive program," said Lawrence Mandes, President and Co-Founder of Galvanize. The Galvanize curriculum builds upon students' understanding of science, data analysis, engineering, mathematics, and more. The course equips students with the mastery of relevant data science tools and techniques within an unparalleled, hands-on environment.
"Many New York-based companies have expressed strong interest in sending their employees to up-skill their technical teams. However, they are often hindered by costly downtime associated with a full-time course. When coupled with the current tech-talent employment shortage, the hardship only increases. Our new offering enables individual and employer sponsored Data Science training, representing a win-win for students, employers and employees," said Michael Huffstetler, General Manager of the Galvanize New York campus.
The course will begin on Jan. 29th and run for 24 weeks, with class time each week from 6:30-9:30pm on Monday and Wednesday, and 10am-5pm on Saturday. Space is limited. Applications are due by Dec. 31, 2017.
