GallantFew's Raider Project's War on Veteran Suicide and Transition
DALLAS, March 4, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- GallantFew has been extremely successful in the US Army Ranger veteran community attacking unemployment, suicide, and PTSD. Building on this experience they have created The Raider Project to support Marine Special Operations Command (MARSOC) and the United States Marine Corps. With Veteran suicide averaging 22 Veterans a day GallantFew and GallantFew's Raider Project take a different approach to this problem.
The Raider Project is composed of MARSOC veterans and is available to interact closely with active duty or veteran Marines in order that they achieve a smooth, peaceful and successful transition to the community of their choice. Their volunteers are all former Marines that have gone through transition and emerged successful.
One of the greatest challenges to overcome during transition is isolation. Connecting with someone with the same military experience provides the transitioning veteran a trusted counselor/mentor that speaks the same language and has equivalent experiences. GallantFew is also establishing local coordinators all over the United States to hold events and networking functions. It is important to build a nationwide network of mentors-in-waiting, so that when the next Raider lands he or she has already been connected locally. This proactive approach heads off potential issues with transition before they occur, based on the experience of having gone through it.
GallantFew's Raider Project seeks to build on our corporate internal network of active and former Marines to provide professional support in employment. We want every Marine in our network to connect with an internal resource at a potential employer before ever sending a resume through the corporate upload process. This internal champion can assist in translating the military skills represented on the resume to those best suited for the corporation.
In the short time that GallantFew's Raider Project has started they have already expanded their global network to over 100,000 people in addition to the already established GallantFew network.
