FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., June 23, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Gale, a part of Cengage Learning, today announced a relationship with Microsoft Corp. to integrate its most widely used product lines with Microsoft's Office 365. The integration makes it easier for students and researchers to download, email, share, and access their research content from anywhere using familiar tools.
"Our work with Microsoft strengthens our ability to better connect libraries to their users, and users to the tools that support their workflow," said Paul Gazzolo, senior vice president and general manager, Gale. "Microsoft is a global leader in the education market and we're excited to work with them to make our content and technology more usable and discoverable than ever before."
From their school or library's Gale resources, users are able to save, share, and download content from those resources (including bookmarks and their personal highlights and notes) to Microsoft OneDrive, the cloud-based storage site included in the Office 365 suite. Users can then easily transfer downloaded OneDrive content for use in other Microsoft tools like OneNote and Classroom.
Microsoft is now integrated into many Gale products, including:
- All Gale In Context resources
- Gale Researcher
- Infotrac including Powersearch
- Gale ebooks on GVRL
- Contemporary Authors Online
- LitFinder
- MLA International Bibliography
- Book Review Index Plus
- Literature Resource Center
- Dictionary of Literary Biography Online
- Kids InfoBits
- Gale Interactive: Science
