SEATTLE, Dec. 5, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- In August, Big Fish Game's new internal studio, Liftoff Labs entered the realm of virtual reality with their debut game, Galaxy Golf. Players stretched the bounds of space in this planetary physics puzzler, moving among planets and stars to battle gravity in pursuit of par. The game received critical and fan acclaim (8.5 on the Road to VR blog, 92% recommended reviews on Steam).
Intent on staying at the forefront of this new technology, Big Fish and Liftoff Labs are excited to announce that the game will support Oculus Touch for the Touch launch on December 6, 2016. A new update for Oculus Rift will be released to include motion controls that add a fun new dimension to gameplay, as well as leaderboards and achievements.
"It's been thrilling and challenging to build a new kind of puzzle game specifically for VR, but the response to Galaxy Golf has been amazing. The intuitive motion controls offered by Oculus Touch are the absolute best way to play the game, and I can't wait to get its claw controllers into gamers' hands."
Galaxy Golf supports all major VR platforms: Oculus Rift, Oculus Touch, Gear VR, HTC Vive, Google Cardboard, and is coming soon to Daydream and Playstation VR. The game sports innovative controls tailored to each device; with motion tracked controllers, players may physically spin the planet, grab the ball, and aim the ball for their shot.
Galaxy Golf with Oculus Touch support is priced at $4.99 and can be purchased through the Oculus Store or Steam on December 6.
