LYNNWOOD, Wash., Oct. 21, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Inspirus Credit Union announced Gabe Navaja will manage the organization's new Lynnwood branch, located at 3405 188th St. S.W., one block southwest of Alderwood Mall.
Navaja is a 22-year Inspirus veteran who has worked in member service and supervisory roles throughout his tenure, most recently as a corporate trainer. He holds a Bachelor's degree in sociology from the University of Washington and is a member of the Credit Union National Association Operations, Sales & Service Council. He volunteers at Bothell's Saint Brendan Parish School as a basketball coach.
"We're delighted that Gabe is heading up the new branch," said President Scott Adkins. "He brings tremendous technical and organizational expertise to the position and is respected among his colleagues as a mentor and leader. He also cares deeply about our members, education, and supporting the Lynnwood community, which has been so welcoming to us."
The Lynnwood branch opened in September and celebrated its Grand Opening on Oct. 10 with check presentations (totaling more than $35,000) to local schools.
Guests can visit the Inspirus Community Wall, a quarterly rotating tribute honoring a local education success story (currently, the Edmonds School District's Career and Technical Education program).
Since expanding eligibility last year to all Washingtonians who share a passion for education, the credit union (formerly School Employees Credit Union of Washington) has grown significantly and anticipates opening additional branches in 2017.
