LAS VEGAS, Sept. 15, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- G6 Hospitality, the recognized leader in economy lodging and known for the iconic brands Motel 6 and Studio 6, held its annual brand convention for more than 1,600 franchisees, leaders and special guests from September 12-15 at the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas. Under the "Mission 6 - Reaching for the Stars" theme, the event celebrated the enterprise's major business milestones, recognized franchisee's achievements, and announced significant updates to its continually evolving technology enhancement platforms.
Along with specialized business sessions, leadership seminars, and networking events, attendees enjoyed inspirational keynote speeches by Space Shuttle Mission Commander, Rick Searfoss, and Astronaut and hero, Jerry Linenger, among others. Leaders such as Dean Savas, Executive Vice President of Franchise and International Development, engaged in insightful conversations with the attendees on important brand matters including the latest technology, guest experience, reputation, growth, and more.

The event kicked off with a celebratory dinner where G6 Hospitality executives recognized the dedication and efforts of its franchisees in various categories including the Franchisee of the Year Award, which went to Mr. Rocky Patel for Motel 6 in Bend, OR and Mr. Don Desai for Studio 6 in Concord, CA. Other designations were given in these categories: Top Performers, Brand Image, Outstanding Renovations, Heart of Service, Brand Champion, Outstanding New Construction, G6 Legacy, and more. General sessions took place in a space that was set up to resemble a NASA mission control room, allowing attendees to enjoy an amplified "reaching for the stars"-inspired experience. During the convention, the enterprise also made additional announcements including the signing of new franchise agreements to build three Hotel 6 properties in Mexico. The new locations will be built in Querétaro, León, and Irapuato. These projects are a part of the initial agreement signed with Latina Promohoteles to build up to 55 new properties in Mexico by 2020.
The G6 Hospitality annual convention provided participants and attendees with plenty of exciting opportunities to attend specialized sessions focusing on guest's experience, technology, collaboration, and networking events including the brand's popular tradeshow with participation of more than 60 vendors and suppliers.
