G2X Energy Augments Leadership Team

HOUSTON, March 12, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- G2X Energy, Inc. ("G2X") today announced that Brent Gwaltney has joined the Company as Chief Operating Officer.  Mr. Gwaltney will oversee all aspects of the Company's current and future natural gas to methanol and gasoline plants. This oversight will include the Pampa Fuels methanol facility located in Pampa, Texas, which is currently under construction, as well as augmenting the development team in the development of the Big Lake Fuels natural gas to gasoline facility located in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Mr. Gwaltney will also be responsible for managing the relationships with technology and engineering providers including the Proman Group, Johnson Matthey and ExxonMobil Research and Engineering.

Mr. Gwaltney has spent the majority of his two and one half decade career involved in the management, construction, operation and financing of world-scale petrochemical facilities.  Prior to joining G2X Energy, Mr. Gwaltney was responsible for managing and developing Koch's foreign investments in nitrogen production facilities. Together with internal and external legal counsel, Mr. Gwaltney also drove the legal claim and negotiation process against the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela related to an expropriation of the world-scale nitrogen manufacturing facility.  Preceding the role at Koch's headquarters, he was a member of the executive management team and Chief Financial Officer of FertiNitro in Jose, Venezuela where he focused on construction transition, debt renegotiation, lender and rating agency relationships, and a complex post-construction arbitration claim.

Brent holds a Master of International Management (MBA) from Thunderbird School of Global Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, Accounting and Business Administration from Augustana College.
