G2 Crowd announces updated rankings of email marketing software
ExactTarget, dotMailer & MailChimp earn Leader status & highest customer satisfaction
REDWOOD CITY, Calif., April 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Business software review site G2 Crowd today released updated rankings of 13 email marketing products based on reviews from nearly 450 marketing professionals. The Grid(SM), G2 Crowd's software recommendation engine, factors in customer satisfaction reported by users and vendor market presence determined from social and public data to rank products.
ExactTarget and MailChimp again earned high customer satisfaction scores and Leader status. They are joined by dotMailer, which was a High Performer in the inaugural release of the Grid(SM) for Email Marketing in November 2013, and became a Leader thanks to a substantial increase in reviews and a 40-point improvement in its customer satisfaction score.
Responsys retained its position in the Leader quadrant of the Grid(SM). Constant Contact, previously a Contender, also moved to a Leader.
The updated Grid(SM) features four products that have joined since the inaugural release: AWeber, Campaign Monitor, Launchpad, and ReturnPath. Campaign Monitor and Launchpad earned High Performer status, and AWeber and ReturnPath entered the Grid(SM) as Niche products.
Of the more than 50 email marketing products listed on G2 Crowd, the 13 ranked products each received 10 or more ratings and reviews to qualify for inclusion on the Grid(SM). Satisfaction rankings are generated from the user reviews, and market presence is calculated from vendor size, market share, and social impact. Based on a combination of these scores, each software solution is categorized as a Leader, High Performer, Contender, or Niche.
Users of the 13 email marketing products on the Grid(SM) report that they fully implemented the product they use in less than one month on average. Users also say that they achieve ROI from the product they use in an average of seven months.
