Fuzion announces new President and CEO

CARMEL, Ind., April 13, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Barry Staldine has been appointed to the position of president and chief executive officer of Fuzion by its Board of Trustees.  His industry experience, coupled with his client-focused philosophies and vision for growth will chart the course for Fuzion's future.  In his new role, Barry will provide strategic direction and oversight to growing Fuzion through the delivery and continued development of results-oriented solutions to the senior insurance industry.

Barry came to Fuzion in 2015 as their vice president of business management and was quickly moved into the role of chief operating officer.  "I saw Fuzion beginning to fill a gap in the long-term care insurance industry and was excited to be a part of solving this dilemma," said Staldine.

"This industry is facing some steep hurdles. Pricing of policies relied on a complex set of variables and the actualities have been very different than the original assumptions. Barry brings more than 20 years of insurance industry experience to this leadership role.  Prior to joining Fuzion, he was chief operating officer for a consulting company specializing in predictive health analytics. He also spent time as vice president of global delivery for a large insurance company where he was responsible for the enterprise project management office and served as the systems leader for the third-party administrator (TPA) conversion team. Earlier in his career, while at Anthem, Barry ran both the claims processing and customer service functions for General Motors in Indiana.

Barry holds a Bachelor of Science in finance from Indiana University, a Master of Business Administration from Anderson University, earned his Certified Public Accountant designation in Indiana, and is a Master of Black Belt in 6 Sigma.
