Furniture Row Caps Nationwide Military Appreciation Effort at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Armed Forces Day
DENVER, May 16, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Furniture Row will commemorate Armed Forces Day during this Saturday's (May 18) Sprint All-Star Race at Charlotte Motor Speedway with a special paint scheme applied to Furniture Row Racing #78 Chevrolet driven by Kurt Busch. The hood of the car will don an Armed Forces Day ribbon, a design repeated on each rear quarter panels along with the message, Thank You For Your Service.

Furniture Row's Armed Forces Day salute follows Military Appreciation Nights held nationwide inside all 330 of its specialty stores; Denver Mattress, Sofa Mart, Oak Express, and Bedroom Expressions. Military Appreciation Nights celebrate and recognize all Active Duty, Former, and Retired Military, as well as Reservist and Members of the National Guard as well as their families.

Military Appreciation Nights will be held on the eve of Armed Forces Day (Friday, May 17) from 3pm to 9pm. Activities include multiple drawings for Apple iPads and a 60-inch Samsung 180p Plasma HDTV along with free gifts and refreshments. Every item in every store will also be specially priced for this one evening.
Armed Forces Day, which was created in 1949 and celebrated annually on the third Saturday in May, was an initiative led by President Harry S. Truman to establish a single holiday for citizens to pay tribute to the men and women who served in the United States' Armed Forces.
