FLOWER MOUND, Texas, April 1, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Funimation® Entertainment kicks-off springtime for anime fans with today's announcement of its big Spring 2016 simulcast and broadcast dub season. Beginning this month, Funimation will launch its 12 title spring line-up of both new and returning shows including the most highly-anticipated series premiere of the year – "My Hero Academia." Each and every week, subscribers will be able to enjoy new episodes of each show in commercial-free 1080p.
"We're thrilled to bring fans another amazing mix of anime titles with our spring simulcast and broadcast dub season," said Gen Fukunaga, CEO and founder of Funimation. "From exciting new titles like 'My Hero Academia' and 'Endride' to returning series including 'Concrete Revolutio' and 'Asterisk War' – we have something for every streaming subscriber."
Of the 12 simulcast titles this season, which will normally stream 1-3 days after they first air in Japan, "Concrete Revolutio" (Season 2) will actually stream on FunimationNow two days BEFORE it airs in Japan – a unique benefit for streaming subscribers. Funimation has also selected 6 titles from the simulcast line-up for broadcast dub treatment (English dubbing). Broadcast dub episodes will be released 4-5 weeks after the original simulcast streams and are available to All-AccessPass streaming subscribers. Paid subscriptions, featuring commercial-free, HD video, start as low as $4.99 per month and are available at funimation.com/subscribe

Spring 2016 Select Simulcast Title Synopses
My Hero Academia
Izuku has dreamt of being a hero all his life—a lofty goal for anyone, but especially challenging for a kid with no superpowers. That's right, in a world where eighty percent of the population has some kind of super-powered "quirk," Izuku was unlucky enough to be born completely normal. But that's not going to stop him from enrolling in one of the world's most prestigious hero academies. Now, the only thing standing between him and his first class is the academy's formidable entrance exam—nothing a little private tutoring from the world's mightiest hero can't solve.
Endride
Beneath the earth's surface lies the unknown world, Endra. After touching a mysterious crystal, Shun Asanaga finds himself in this new land and his only way home lies with helping the vengeful Prince Emilio. Recently imprisoned, Emilio vows to take back his rightful throne from King Delzaine. Check out the latest adventure from the creator of Rurouni Kenshin and the studio behind Durarara!!
Haifuri
Akeno Misaki and Moeka China share one goal—to join the Blue Mermaids! A group of fierce women, the Blue Mermaids are key to keeping peace among the seas and coastal cities in this age of maritime trade. To be a part of this elite group of sea protectors, they must succeed at Yokosuka's Marine High School. Akeno and Moeka, together with their classmates, will take the plunge to become Mermaids!
Shonen Maid
After the loss of his mother, Chihiro is left alone. With no known family left, he has to find a way to move on. Things aren't looking good until a chance encounter with the young and handsome Madoka—who turns out to be his wealthy uncle! Madoka offers him his home and all Chihiro has to do is clean up after the messy, irresponsible man. The problem? This job requires a uniform—a maid outfit!
Three Leaves, Three Colors (Sansha Sanyou)
Futaba Odagiri is the energetic transfer student who befriends Teru Hayama, the class president who is meaner than she looks, and Youko Nishikawa, a former rich girl who still acts like a princess. Three very different girls who only share one thing: the kanji for leaf in their names. Balancing school and life is hard enough, but what about dealing with clashing personalities on top of it all?
And you thought there is never a girl online? (Netoge no Yome wa Onnanoko ja nai to Omotta)
After Hideki Nishimura confesses to a girl online, he is shocked when she turns out to be a boy. Traumatized, he swears to never trust any "girl" players. That is, until one confesses to him! Ako Tamaki is a beautiful loner who has trouble differentiating between what's reality and the online world she spends so much of her time in. Can Hideki and his guild friends help fix socially inept Ako?
