ORLANDO, Fla., March 13, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Funds2Orgs, a social enterprise that provides fundraising solutions for nonprofits, is creating a division that caters to the needs of Hispanic nonprofits. The new Hispanic Division will launch April 15, 2015. Funds2Orgs teaches schools, churches and other organizations how to raise funds and engage volunteers through hosting shoe-drive fundraisers. Funds2Orgs pays these groups to collect gently worn, used and new shoes through donations from these shoe drives. Funds2Orgs then ships the shoes to micro-entrepreneurs in developing countries for resale.

"As the number of Hispanics grows in the United States, so do the opportunities for entrepreneurship and community service," said Funds2Orgs founder and CEO Wayne Elsey. "We are focused on helping community-based organizations that serve Hispanic populations create effective fundraising campaigns that support their core missions."
Take Operation Give Hope, a Milwaukee-area nonprofit that used Funds2Orgs' shoe drives to collect nearly $7,600 last year to help build schools, feeding centers, churches and even a pregnancy crisis center in Kenya.
Funds2Orgs is staying current with trends that demonstrate the need for an effort focused on the Hispanic population. Studies show that:
- People of Hispanic origin constitute the nation's largest ethnic or racial minority, with 17 percent of the total population as of July 1, 2013. Hispanics are projected to constitute 31 percent of the population by 2060.
- A broad network of more than 20,000 nonprofit groups and individuals reaches more than 3 million Hispanics annually.
"We see great opportunities to assist all members of the Hispanic community and look forward to building long-lasting partnerships with individuals and organizations," Elsey said.
