Learning modules guide teachers and students K-12 on paths to success, social awareness
ORLANDO, Fla., March 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Funds2Orgs, a social enterprise that provides fundraising solutions for nonprofits, schools and PTA/PTO organizations, has launched a free educational program that shows students the essentials of becoming successful micro-entrepreneurs and how to benefit local communities.

"Students need education in ways they can help themselves and others through a business idea put into practice," said Funds2Orgs founder and CEO Wayne Elsey. "We are giving this curriculum to teachers so that they can empower their students while educating them on business and social responsibility."
Funds2Orgs provides age-appropriate learning modules for elementary, middle and high school students. The company also has a home-school program.
In five curriculum modules, students learn:
- Business basics: how to achieve goals, meet responsibilities and apply ethics
- Micro-enterprises: what they are, how they work and how they impact the economy
- Business plans: how to write a road map for a micro-enterprise
- Finance: how to budget, prepare financial reports and manage money
- Marketing: how to brand and promote their entrepreneurial idea
In the micro-enterprises module, for example, students learn through discussion and role-playing how that business model benefits communities, affects the environment, and improves the status and self-reliance of women.
"After completing the program, students will have a greater understanding of what it takes to start and run a business, and how their micro-enterprise can improve the lives of others," Elsey said.
Learning programs for all grades and homeschooling include teacher and students guides for each module. They can be downloaded in PDF format without charge at http://funds2orgs.com/micro-enterprise-curriculum.
