WINTER PARK, Fla., Feb. 25, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Full Sail University is proud to announce that 46 graduates were credited on 11 Oscar-winning films at the 91st annual Academy Awards. Graduates of Full Sail University have participated in industry roles on 16 Best Picture winning films over the last 24 years, including this year's Best Picture winner, Green Book. The Oscars, held live at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, CA, aired live on Sunday, February 24, on ABC.
Full Sail graduates have worked on films that won in 20 different categories including: Best Picture, Best Animated Feature Film, Best Animated Short Film, Achievement in Film Editing, Achievement in Cinematography, Directing, Achievement in Production Design, Best Foreign Language Film of the Year, Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role, Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role, Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role, Achievement in Visual Effects, Achievement in Costume Design, Achievement in Makeup and Hairstyling, Achievement in Writing (Adapted Screenplay), Achievement in Writing (Original Screenplay), Achievement in Music (Original Song), Achievement in Music Written for Motion Pictures (Original Score), Achievement in Sound Editing, and Achievement in Sound Mixing.
Among these categories, Full Sail graduates were credited on the winning films: A Star is Born, Bao, BlacKkKlansman, Black Panther, Bohemian Rhapsody, First Man, Green Book, If Beale Street Could Talk, Roma, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and VICE.
At this year's awards ceremony, a total of 98 Full Sail graduates were credited on 25 Oscar-nominated projects across 22 categories.
