Fulfillment Fund to Honor James Gianopulos at Annual STARS 2010 Benefit Gala
LOS ANGELES, July 26 /PRNewswire/ -- The Fulfillment Fund, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping promising yet disadvantaged students graduate from high school and complete college, will honor James Gianopulos, Chairman and CEO, Fox Filmed Entertainment at its annual STARS 2010 Benefit Gala, Monday, November 1, 2010 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
Considered a leading strategist in the film and media industry for more than 25 years, James Gianopulos has served as Chairman of Fox Filmed Entertainment since July 2000. In February 2006, he was given the additional title of Chief Executive Officer; and in March 2009, he and Tom Rothman were promoted to oversee all of News Corporation's Los Angeles-based creative production divisions, including the film and television studios. In their roles, Gianopulos and Rothman manage all feature film and television production and marketing, as well as global distribution through all platforms spanning the theatrical, broadcast, cable, home entertainment, digital and mobile markets.
A long-time Fulfillment Fund supporter, Gianopulos also serves as a Governor of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences, a member of the Board of the Motion Picture & Television Fund and a trustee of the American Film Institute. His numerous civic and philanthropic activities include the Anti-Defamation League, Brady Center, City of Hope, Multiple Sclerosis Society and Alliance for Lupus Research, among others.
