Rich Fabian has been promoted to President and Chief Operating Officer of FUJIFILM SonoSite Inc. The leadership appointments stem from Masayuki Higuchi's return to Tokyo as Deputy General Manager of Global Finance & Accounting at FUJIFILM Corporation.

In addition, this appointment will promote collaboration and increased synergies among all groups and business units within the company. Previously, Mr. Ueda served as General Manager of Fujifilm's global Endoscopy Systems Division, where he was noted for his success in making a number of decisive moves that furthered the division's growth and development. Under his leadership, Fujifilm's endoscopic product portfolio became one of the most extensive and competitive in the world.
As newly appointed President and Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Fabian will oversee the day-to-day operations and work closely with Mr. Ueda to drive business growth. Mr. Fabian joined the company in January, 2017, bringing more than 20 years of healthcare leadership experience. Previously, Mr. Fabian served with Philips Healthcare for 15 years where he held various executive leadership roles and built high performing teams that consistently delivered strong business results.
