STAMFORD, Conn., Nov. 15, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- RSNA 2018 - Booth#2545 -- FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A., Inc., a leading provider of diagnostic imaging and medical informatics solutions, today announced that it will showcase two new DR configurations for long-length imaging in the OR —FDR D-EVO GL single exposure long length detector, and the FDR D-EVO II standard 14x17" size DR detector with articulating stands. These new solutions will be demonstrated at booth #2545 at McCormick Place in Chicago during the annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA).
"Having pioneered the world's first single-exposure long-length DR detector, Fujifilm continues to innovate for specialized applications," said Johann Fernando, Ph.D., Chief Operating Office of FUJIFILM Medical Systems, U.S.A., Inc. "This year at RSNA we are excited to introduce valuable new, flexible systems specifically conceived for the unique needs of long-length imaging in the OR—where time is of the essence and speed and precision are crucial. Fujifilm's latest innovations will provide surgeons with DR versatility, speed and high quality images at a low dose."
Continuing our expansion of devising specialized solutions throughout the hospital, Fujifilm is now offering digital radiography solutions for long-length imaging in the OR. Recent trends in spine and scoliosis caseloads have created increased need for more versatile long-length imaging in the OR. Fujifilm will offer two new versatile solutions to accommodate intra-operative, pre and post-operative exams, improving the ability to visualize surgical alignment, hardware placement and more.
FDR D-EVO GL with articulating stand: The first solution includes a unique stand that allows easy, versatile positioning of this 17x49", single exposure long-length detector, under the operating table. Full-length images are acquired with one quick exposure and displayed at a console within the OR in just seconds. The single exposure long-length DR detector allows images to be acquired in a single exposure and with low dose.
FDR D-EVO II detector with articulating stand: The second new solution offers a smaller footprint and utilizes a standard FDR D-EVO II 14x17" detector inserted into a two-step positioning holder mounted on to the articulating cart provided by an original equipment manufacturer (OEM). This configuration allows fast acquisition of two sequential images for views up to 34" long by simply repositioning the detector from the first position to the second. Images are displayed and stitched together on the mobile unit's display. In addition, the FDR D-EVO II detectors also feature Fujifilm's exclusive Hydro AG™ antibacterial coating as an added safety measure in the prevention of hospital acquired infections.
