LONDON and SHANGHAI, Dec. 9, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- On Oct. 20, 2014, Financial Times (FT) of the U.K. announced its Global EMBA Ranking 2014. Compared to last year, Chinese EMBA programs of three Chinese business schools headed by SJTU's ACEM (Antai College of Economics & Management, Shanghai Jiao Tong University) rose steadily in the ranking, while other Sino-foreign programs had a mixed performance. The phenomenon has not only changed the situation that the ranking list has long been dominated by well-known European and U.S. business schools, but also highlighted that, with the enhancement of China's economic strength, Chinese business schools are gradually narrowing the gap with internationally renowned ones.
According to the list, SJTU ACEM's EMBA program ranked the 17th place in the global ranking (32nd last year) and ranked the first among local Chinese EMBA programs, continuing to take the lead in the overall rise of Chinese programs.
"We are very pleased to see that, in this year's ranking, local Chinese EMBA programs headed by ACEM have shown an overall upward trend, suggesting that Chinese business schools are being fully upgraded and steadily narrowing the gap with international counterparts. ACEM is more willing to make more of its own efforts and contributions in leading the sustained and healthy educational development of Chinese business schools," Dean Zhou Lin said at the news conference on Oct. 20.
This year, the ranking of Antai EMBA program moved up 15 places, and some key indicators were improved greatly. On one hand, these leading indicators have shown that the programs have long been dedicated to training businessmen and entrepreneurs, and student admissions are highly aligned with the training objectives and programs; on the other hand, they have demonstrated the recognition of the programs by alumni, satisfaction in personal value realization, as well as constantly improved overall academic level of the faculty. Meanwhile, in the global ranking of Masters of Management (MiM) announced by FT on September 15, ACEM's Master of Management ranked 44th place, having ranked among the world's top 50 for six consecutive years.
ACEM's EMBA program aims to develop individuals with global vision, strategic thinking, outstanding leadership and social responsibility. 2015 ACEM's EMBA Program application now begins.
