FS-ISAC Launches New Energy Sector Sharing Community

RESTON, Va., Feb. 15, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center (FS-ISAC) has launched a new intelligence-sharing community that will help provide real-time cyber and physical threat information to the energy sector.

The community, called the Energy Analytic Security Exchange (EASE), will be open to utilities and energy grid companies. FS-ISAC's Sector Services division will manage the organization on behalf of the EASE membership, utilizing 18 years of experience plus technology platforms and advanced cyber and physical threat intelligence to help protect this critical infrastructure sector.

The EASE sharing community will enhance the security and resilience of the sector by incorporating best practices, services, and products provided by FS-ISAC's Sector Services division in order to bolster the sector's existing defenses and also promote cross-sector sharing. By supplementing their security practices to include the capabilities offered by FS-ISAC, EASE members will gain access to a member-driven organization with timely, industry specific information and bi-directional communication. EASE will provide members real and near real-time intelligence, the ability to monitor risks to extended supply chains, and access to cross-industry threat intelligence.
