Frost & Sullivan Honors Acuo Technologies with 2012 Market Share Leadership Award in Enterprise Imaging Informatics
Acuo recognized based on diverse interoperability experience, successful customer implementations, vendor neutral archive reference sites, best-of-breed partnerships and strong financial growth
BLOOMINGTON, Minn., Nov. 26, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Acuo Technologies®, the world leader in high-performance software and services for clinical content management and data migration, announced today that the company has been distinguished by Frost & Sullivan to receive the 2012 North American Market Share Leadership Award in Enterprise Imaging Informatics. This recognition follows Acuo's selection as recipient of the Frost & Sullivan 2011 North American Product Leadership Award in Medical Imaging Informatics.
The Frost & Sullivan Award for Market Share Leadership is presented to the company that has demonstrated excellence in capturing the highest market share within its industry, recognizing the company's leadership position in terms of revenues or units.
The award emerged from recent Frost & Sullivan research, the U.S. Enterprise Medical Image Archiving Market analysis, that identified Acuo as the market leader in vendor-neutral archiving. Research results also found Acuo to have significant standing in the broader enterprise image archiving market which includes independent imaging informatics vendors selling vendor-neutral archives and PACS vendors selling enterprise PACS archives.
"A paradigm shift has been taking place in the attitude of medical imaging providers with regard to the back-end IT infrastructure supporting their clinical systems," said Nadim Daher, principal analyst medical imaging for Frost & Sullivan. "End users identify independence of networking and archiving components from front-end PACS and clinical applications as a critical factor when making purchasing decisions for new and replacement systems supporting modern imaging IT platforms. Frost & Sullivan firmly believes that as a result of initially building the industry's most comprehensive and robust medical image archive, Acuo is now well on its way to delivering on a broader value proposition centered on image-enabled enterprise clinical content management and data sharing."
"It was exciting for Acuo to receive the Frost & Sullivan Product Leadership Award back in 2011," said Jeff Timbrook, CEO of Acuo Technologies. "We are ecstatic about receiving this second award so close on the heels of the first one. It is evidence of the impact Acuo has had on healthcare IT in only a year's time and a testament to the hard work and dedication of our employees, partners and customers. Moving into 2013, we look forward to building on our leadership position through new product innovations, an unwavering focus on solving customer business challenges, and a strategic commitment to advancing the state of the broader medical imaging informatics industry."
