MALVERN, Pa., March 22, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Frontline Education today announced the release of an online IEP Resource Center that offers a full catalogue of information and tools for special education administrators and educators. Incorporating original research that is both timely and relevant for the upcoming IEP season, the resource center features webinars, podcasts, interactive quizzes, policy-focused and legislative content as well as white papers dedicated to special education.
"Between initial meetings, re-evaluations and transition planning, spring is a time to assess the progress of Individualized Education Plans (IEP) and prepare for the coming year," said Dr. Thomas Reap, Executive Director of Special Education and Interventions at Frontline Education. "Our goal with this resource center is to support special education personnel in their efforts to manage the IEP process through the critical months of late March through early June and beyond by providing actionable resources rooted in original research and best practice."
An IEP serves as the roadmap to address the individual needs of students who require special education support. It outlines a concrete set of goals, specific measures for progress and a list of necessary skills for success.
"IEPs provide a critical link between teachers, administrators and parents to ensure that everyone is on the same page with regard to student progress," said co-author of Frontline Education's Crossing the Line report, JoAnn Hanrahan. "Our resource center is focused on helping educators understand best practices and regulatory changes in order to design a roadmap that assures individual student success."
The IEP Resource Center includes free content that is open to anyone and premium content that is accessible to users who share information about their position and educational organization. Premium access includes content authored by, Shana Hagan-Burke, Michael F. Giangreco and Kimberly J. Vannest.
