Frigesco wins the award for Excellence in the Field of Environmental Technology Development at CleanEquity Monaco 2014

LONDON, April 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- CleanEquity Monaco 2014, the forum for emerging cleantech and resource efficiency companies, hosted by Innovator Capital, the London boutique investment bank, concluded on Friday 28^th March with the Award Ceremony in the presence of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco.

An independent panel of judges, chaired by His Serene Highness, selected Frigesco Ltd as winner of the award for Excellence in the Field of Environmental Technology Development.

Frigesco™ is a young, Devon based company that is set to revolutionise the defrost process in all freezer applications worldwide with an elegantly simple yet highly efficient and innovative system. The potential energy savings from adopting the system worldwide amount to £1.6bn per annum.

The company was founded by Company Chairman, Exeter University Professor Tom Davies and commenced business in 2011. Since then the company has developed tested and fitted the Frigesco™ Defrost System into a cold room and a retail display cabinet, both units demonstrating remarkable improvements in energy efficiency. The company is now commercialising the walk-in cold room defrost system. The first store trials are scheduled to start in the next few weeks and development of a Retail Display Cabinet version is under way, partially funded by a grant from the Department of Energy and Climate Change's Energy Entrepreneurs fund.
