FrieslandCampina's Piet Hilarides takes up his appointment as Chief Operating Officer, Consumer Products Asia
SINGAPORE, Jan. 11, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- FrieslandCampina, one of the world's five largest dairy companies, is pleased to announce that Piet Hilarides has now assumed the role of Chief Operating Officer of its Consumer Products Asia business group.
Piet is a member of FrieslandCampina's Executive Board and will be based in Singapore, FrieslandCampina's regional headquarters in Asia. In his new role, Piet will assume responsibility for the production and sales of FrieslandCampina's broad range of dairy products to consumers in Asia. He has a strong track record in leading FrieslandCampina's Cheese, Butter & Milkpowder business group and the FrieslandCampina Milkvalorization strategy. During the past two years, Piet has also been responsible for developing and implementing the Company's African strategy, including new market entry and mergers and acquisitions.

Most recently, Piet was Chief Operating Officer of the Cheese, Butter & Milkpowder business group from 2009 to 2014, based in the Netherlands. Prior to this, he held a variety of management positions at Campina (later Royal FrieslandCampina), Melkunie, Pepsico and Smiths Food Group (General Mills). Piet first joined FrieslandCampina in 1994.
Piet completed the Harvard Advanced Management Programme and holds a Masters Degree in Business Economics, University Rotterdam and a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Nijenrode Business University. He is currently a member of the Supervisory Board of CSK Food Enrichment B.V. and a member of the Advisory Board of NIZO Food Research B.V.
